Read John 9, 10
Jesus has already made His identity unmistakably clear—both His words and His works testify that He is God, calling every listener to respond in faith and belong to His flock.
Standing in the temple during Hanukkah, Jesus was pressed to say “plainly” whether He was the Messiah. He replied that He had already spoken and acted plainly, but His critics could not hear because they would not believe. Using the shepherd-and-sheep image, Jesus explained that genuine believers recognize His voice.
Pastor Gary answered the modern version of the same question—“Why doesn’t Jesus just say He is God?”—by showing how Jesus’ own statements and miracles unequivocally reveal His deity.
