Read Matthew 10
This is so good!!!
Whoever follows Jesus will encounter persecution, but need not be afraid: God knows every detail, the truth will prevail, and whoever openly confesses Christ will be confessed by Him before the Father.
Jesus prepares his apostles—and all future followers—for resistance. A disciple is not above his Master; what He endured, they too will experience. Yet Jesus repeats three times: “Do not be afraid.” Why? (1) The truth will ultimately come to light. (2) Persecutors can only touch the body, never the soul. (3) The Father watches even over the sparrows and has counted every hair on our heads. Therefore, Jesus calls us to a courageous confession: remaining silent out of fear is to deny Him, while speaking in love is to honor Him.
