STEP TWELVE

Sharing Our Recovery

Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Today concludes the series of the Twelve Steps of Recovery. The past twelve lessons have been an introduction to working a twelve-step program.

To actually work the steps, you are encouraged to join a recovery group and work the program with a sponsor or accountability partner. The program is not to be rushed through. Take your time to pray and reflect on each step. This allows you to develop a deeper relationship with our Lord and to grow in your journey of recovery.

WHAT THIS CAN LOOK LIKE IN REAL LIFE

• Sharing your story, experience, strength, and hope with others.

• Being a source of encouragement and support to those who are struggling.

• Getting involved in your recovery community through service and sponsorship.

• Living out the principles in your daily life — at home, at work, and in your relationships.

• Remembering that your experience can be a light for someone else.

YOU HAVE A STORY WORTH SHARING

Your story could be the one that leads someone else to recovery!

2 CORINTHIANS 1:3–4

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

Until next week,

Robin ♡
