If we forget the desperate place God rescued us from, we will misuse His gifts, drift into spiritual adultery, and invite discipline; remembering His mercy keeps us humble and faithful.
Application to believers today
•We, too, were abandoned and dead in sin until God said, “Live.”
•Prosperity equals danger: forgetting leads to pride and misuse of His gifts.
•Children, money, abilities—all are God’s; we steward them, not own them.
