Read Exodus 25,26,27
Let’s walk through this with Pastor Gary. It is amazing.

Moses is with God for 40 days and 40 nights. God gives exact instructions for how the people will be able to commune with Him, fellowship with Him. Until now, there has never been a mechanism to connect with God.

Israel begins with Abraham, a gentile. There were no Jews. There has been no personal contact with God as a nation. God’s desire is to dwell among His people. This tabernacle is a mirror of what exists in heaven.

The Ark, Table and Lampstand are the principal items in the Tabernacle. They have great spiritual significance. The Ark is the most sacred and is the place God dwells. This is where the blood is sprinkled to atone for sin. The Table has 12 loaves without yeast placed on and replaced every Sabbath. The twelve loaves represent the twelve tribes of Israel. The Lampstand is the only light source in the Tabernacle.

In 70AD the temple is destroyed and all articles are plundered. Jesus preached about the destruction of the temple. The temple and articles had served their purpose.

These items point to a greater spiritual significance. The articles and the Tabernacle point to Christ.

The application and imagery represent one God in three persons. The Ark represents God the Father. The Table represents God the Son. The Lampstand represents God the Spirit. The Tabernacle reveals God’s ultimate dwelling with us, to commune with us.

John 1:14

Dwelt means to tabernacle among us.

This is not a distant God. We can know Him.
