Read Genesis 16,17,18
This is classic Pastor Gary.
He starts with three questions…
Have you ever felt like God isn’t working fast enough for you?
Have you ever felt like your prayers weren’t being heard because you didn’t get what you wanted when you wanted it?
Do you feel like faith isn’t one of your virtues?
How many times does it say “wait on the Lord” in your Bible? Start watching and listening for it. Mark your Bible.
God’s timing is perfect. The human heart is more inclined to get ahead of God and be impatient with His timing. We live in an instant world. We want God to work as quickly as our technology.
We have lost the spiritual discipline of learning to wait on God.
Why does God wait so long?
God’s delay is often for His display.
It’s better to get God’s best than to hasten along in our flesh.
How are we to wait…
-waiting is doing
-waiting is trusting
-waiting is praying
-waiting is learning
-waiting and a believing
God hears. God knows.
God sees.
