Read Job 38,39
Listen to Professor Abner Chou, Master’s University.
Wow… I am sobered at the reality that I question the Who, what, when, where, why and how of God. Professor Abner walks us through Job 38 and reminds us that we do know the answer to the question that matters most… the Who and that should always be enough.
What is apologia?
The greater our God is and the more accurate view of Him that we have and the stronger our faith is. He is right and all things will be resolved in Him.
We have a misconception about the book of Job. We think it’s all about suffering. We can appear weak in our suffering. We try to understand why God does what He does.
Job wants the gospel. He wants forgiveness from his sins, a God/man mediator, and to be raised from the dead. What people and suffering need most is the gospel.
God confronts Job. He may not know the what, when, where, why and how. But… he does know the Who. That should be enough.
This is about the omniscience of God. God makes and keeps things right and puts them in their proper place. There is nothing random with God.
We ask God why. We are selfish. We question God because we are inconvenienced.
God cares for everyone and everything. This is His sovereignty.
