We have spent the past several weeks looking at who Jesus is—our Cornerstone, our Rock, our
Deliverer, our Living Hope, our Advocate, and so much more. Each name and description has
reminded us that Jesus is not simply someone we know about; He is someone we are invited to
know personally.
But there is another beautiful part of knowing Jesus.
When we truly know Him, His presence begins to change the way we live.
Jesus doesn’t save us and then leave us wondering what our purpose is. He has given each of us a place in His body, a purpose in His kingdom, and gifts that He can use to touch the lives of others.
And that brings us to our next journey together:
Spiritual Gifts.
God has uniquely gifted every believer. You may not have the same gift as the woman sitting next to you, and you may not have the same calling as someone else—but you have something God wants to use.
Your gift isn’t about recognition.
It isn’t about being the best.
It isn’t about standing in front of a crowd.
It is about being available.
The same Jesus we have been learning to recognize in Scripture is the Jesus who wants to work
through us today.
So perhaps the question isn’t simply, “Who is Jesus?”
Perhaps the next question is:
“Now that I know who Jesus is, how does He want to work through me?”
Let’s begin discovering the gifts He has placed within each of us—and learn how we can use them to love, encourage, serve, and build up His people.
Because… knowing Jesus changes us.
And what HE has placed in us can become a blessing to someone else.
We will begin next week!!!
