As I have studied up on the Names and Titles of Jesus Christ, I have been so blessed to learn about them, and what they each mean!
How many times have you read your bible and skimmed past something about HIS NAME?
Personally, many times!! However, now that I KNOW His names I have begun to ‘mark’ His names with a purple 2/3 triangle. (The full triangle is reserved for the names of God, The Father)
Today we look at
JESUS IS OUR HORN OF SALVATION
“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people, and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David.” — Luke 1:68–69
In Scripture, the horn is a picture of strength, power, victory, and deliverance. When Zechariah spoke these words, he was proclaiming that God had sent the One who would bring salvation to His people. That One is Jesus!
A horn is also the strength of an animal—the source of its ability to defend itself and overcome its enemies. So when we call Jesus our Horn of Salvation, we are declaring that our salvation does not come from our own strength. Our victory comes from Him.
There are times when we feel weak, overwhelmed, or unable to fight another battle. We may wonder, “How am I going to get through this?” But our hope is not found in how strong we are. Our hope is found in the One who is strong for us.
Jesus is our Deliverer when we cannot deliver ourselves.
He is our Strength when ours is gone.
He is our Victory when we feel defeated.
He is our Refuge when life feels uncertain.
And He is our Salvation—not because we have earned it, but because He willingly gave Himself for us.
So today, don’t look at the size of your battle. Look at the strength of your Savior.
The same Jesus who came to save us is the Jesus who sustains us, fights for us, and carries us through.
Jesus is our Horn of Salvation. Our strength is in Him. Our victory is in Him. Our salvation is in Him. ❤
