God, the sky is blue and the air smells fresh and clean. While we have natural disasters from time to time that devastate people, animals and our topography, you continue to clean up the devastation over time. No devastation is outside your control.

And yet sometimes, I wonder how you’re going to clean up the messes in my life. How will you bring about good from those “disasters” I create? Yet I trust in you. I confess my sin to you. I ask forgiveness from you and from those I’ve hurt. And I know that you are faithful and just to forgive me of my sin and cleanse me from all unrighteousness (even self-righteousness). And you’ve promised to work all things together for our good and for your glory.

What an awesome God you are! Amen.
