Tuesday’s Biblical Concepts in the Home

Begin each morning in prayer.
Concentrate on Proverbs 31:30.
Reflect on the virtues listed in Titus and ask God to show you the implications of each one for your life.

Seek out an older woman who exhibits these virtues and thank her for the example she is to you. Ask her to pray for you and with you as you examine your life in light of these characteristics.

Visit an older woman, ask her questions: What have you learned about God that you wish you had known when you were twenty-five? What is a special childhood memory?

If you’re a young married woman, visit a widow, or invite her over and ask her to share memories of her husband. Ask her to tell you something she wishes she had known when she first got married. Glean on those sweet nuggets of experience. Women, two different generations, bridged by God’s Grace.

Titus 2:4-5 “Train the young woman to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the world of God may not be reviled.”

The topics covered in the older-woman/younger-women are not simply behavioral. They are expressions of the theme in Paul’s letter to Titus. The theme of godliness is clear from the beginning to the end of the letter.…truth that leads to godliness v 1:1

“For the Grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people…”

Love, Relationships, Conduct, Teaching, Grace.

Hang in there gals, you and I can do it. The mutual desire to live for God’s Glory makes all things work.

Until next time. Straighten that crown and Titus 2 on.

Blessings, Angie Nikkel
