Read 2 Samuel 11,12
1 Chronicles 20
•Forgiveness is real—so real the Chronicler could recount David’s reign without mentioning Bathsheba—yet consequences may linger for a lifetime.
•God’s sovereignty over life and death is beyond human challenge; our task is trust, not argument.
•True repentance brings brokenness, honest prayer, and renewed worship, not self-pity.
•Grace can redeem even relationships that started wrongly, turning ashes into beauty.
•The greater Son of David has conquered sin, death, and hell and now wears the ultimate crown for His people.
Even after the darkest chapter, God writes new beginnings. David sinned, repented, grieved, worshiped, and stepped back into the fight wearing a crown God placed on his head—foreshadowing Jesus, who has subdued our greatest enemies and wears the eternal crown.
