The next name of God is JEHOVAH TSIDKENU another Hebrew name for God, meaning The LORD Our Righteousness.
This reference to God is only found in two places in scripture.
Jeremiah 23:5-6 and Jeremiah 33:15-16
Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and act wisely And do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell securely; And this is His name by which He will be called, ‘The Lord our righteousness.’
Jeremiah 33:15-16 says
In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth. In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell in safety; and this the name by which she will be called: The Lord is our Righteousness.”
Righteousness is another attribute of God.
What He does is always right, just, proper and consistent with all His other attributes.
When we say God is Righteous, we mean that there is no wrong, no dishonesty and no unfairness in Him. He is the perfectly Righteous One and His righteousness is an everlasting Righteousness.
Psalm 119:142 states “Your Righteousness is Righteous forever”.
The Lord is our Righteousness….God is Righteous in all His ways is a core biblical statement which is found in Psalm 145:17…
Please read this fabulous Psalm and mark each of the ‘descriptions” that are written about God.
Additionally, you might want to make a chart in your margin and title it “God is …”
For example ~
Verse 3 ~ GREAT is the Lord. HE is highly to be praised.
