I grew up singing the old hymn, “Count your blessings.”
Count your blessings, name them one by one.
Count your blessings, see what God has done
Count your blessings; name them one by one.
Count your many blessing see what God has done.
Have you listed the many things God has blessed you with this week? It will turn around your frown, grumpiness, fatigue, and irritability. God doesn’t need our gratefulness so he can feel good about himself. We need to be grateful to keep our perspective in check.
Thank you God for your matchless goodness, undeserved grace, enduring faithfulness, astounding omniscience, delightful creativity, generous provisions, and loving discipline.
