Celebrate Recovery!!

You know what’s great about freedom in recovery?

The freedom to be present!!

Addiction robs us of the only thing that is real, the present.

Don’t let the holidays fill you with the lies of anxiety and depression. Replace those feelings with scripture, prayer, and other believers before they lead you the wrong way.

Know your triggers, identify them ahead of time, and take steps to avoid them.

Galatians 5:16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Being present gives you the gift of:

Feeling loved by others.

Allowing you to love others.

Participating in meaningful conversations.

Having a clear mind.

Reduced anxiety and anger.

Philippians 4:4-9 NIV

[4] Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! [5] Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. [6] Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [7] And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
