Biblical Concepts of Gods Purpose and Principles for Home

It’s Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Planning, shopping and preparing for the big day. Are we thankful and full of gratitude. Thinking back on one of the first Thanksgivings. I’m grateful for grocery stores, and for all my needs. A warm home and modern appliances. Planes and automobiles instead of horse and buggies for transportation.
Freedom to worship the true Living God.

Are you baking, deep frying or smoking a turkey or ham?
So many options on side dishes these days. Recipes at our fingertips.
Maybe eating at a restaurant.
Family from far and near. What a blessing! Our children, grands and greats.

We should remember that Christ at the center of our holiday should be a priority…Some simple and quick ideas. You might have guests that don’t know the Lord. They can be included.

1- Place prayers or a verse at each plate. Have each person read aloud.
2-Have each person tell a little what they are thankful for.
3-Place one word at each plate, (Thanksgiving, past or present) have them share something relating to the word.
4-For your food table…place words for each dish, include a verse next to them.
5-Play a few games, involve all ages to interact.

If you know someone that might be alone, Invite them to your table. Take a meal to them. Be creative. Show your gratitude and Christ.

Scripture verses…
1 Timothy 4:4-5
Psalm 69:30
1 Corinthians 1:4
Psalm 118:1
Psalm 138:1-2
Exodus 23:16

There are so many wonderful verses of thanksgiving.
Keep the joy and gratitude going.
